NASA 2026 Astronomical Events
Sat. February 28: Planetary ParadeOn February 28, we will see not one, not two, but six planets in the evening sky. Mercury, Venus, Neptune, Saturn, Uranus, and Jupiter will appear shortly after sunset. Four of those planets will be visible to the unaided eye, weather permitting, but only those with optical assistance will be able to view Uranus and Neptune (Mercury can sometimes be harder to spot, too).
Tues. March 3: Total Lunar Eclipse
In March, a total lunar eclipse will be visible for those in North America – especially for those on the West Coast. This event is for the earlier risers, as it will occur right before sunrise on the 3rd. Lunar eclipses occur when Earth is positioned precisely between the Moon and Sun – shading the Moon in Earth’s shadow.

Creation Club Meeting this Thursday April 25 2024
Come and hear Bruce Schweigerdt present "The Secret of the Universe". He will explain the building blocks of God's special plan for creating a world specifically suited for man to thrive and a Universe to glorify Him as the Creator of everything.
The ever-present quest to find the so-called Theory of Everything (TOE), or the Grand Unified Theory (GUT) continues to evade dedicated secular seekers. But as students of the Bible, we have before us the blueprint for resolving the dilemma and laying a firm foundation.
This presentation is a continuation of our studies highlighting the Intersection of Faith and Science (learning). It will provide the basics for understanding the Secret of the Universe and will contribute to the fuller understanding of the Creation narrative.

Creation Club: Dr. Jerry Layton on "Why Genesis Matters". Oct.24 at 7 PM
Dr. Jerry Layton, missionary to the Philippines for many years teaching regarding Creation will be presenting -"Why Genesis Matters: Spiritual & Scientific implications of Genesis 1". He will also give a quick update on his last teaching trip to the Philippines last year at Doane Baptist Bible Institute (DBBI) in Iloilo City, central Philippines.

August 26th- Arcade Creation Club speaker Bruce Schweigerdt on the Distant Starlight issue
Our friend Bruce Schweigerdt will present "The Perils of Consensus Thinking: Distant Starlight Matter Resolved".
Motion affects time. For a reason, God has provided for us a method to determine the velocity of light at relative rest in our finite frame of reference. That reason is that we might fathom the unimaginable size and scope of the universe. Recall, that a light year is a measure of dimension (distance) and not duration (time). The An-isotropic Synchrony Convention (ASC) allows for the reality of light travel from point A to point B instantaneously regardless of the distance. This is highly counter-intuitive in our current science consensus culture. This presentation will show the dangers of that consensus and how to think beyond it.

We are blessed to have Dr. Gary Byers as our guest speaker to offer an archaeological perspective on two exciting topics. Gary serves on the dig staff as Co-Director and Senior Archaeologist of the Shiloh Excavations, Israel. He also currently serves as Dean of the College of Archaeology, Trinity Southwest University in Albuquerque, NM. He is a graduate of Liberty University with a BS, Baltimore Hebrew University with an MA, and a PhD at Veritas International University. Gary's excavation and field experience include: Co-Director at Shiloh, Israel (2017-present); Assistant Director at Tall el-Hammam, Jordan (2005-2023); Administrative Director and Senior Archaeologist, at Khirbet al-Maqatir, Israel (1995-2000, 2009-2011); square supervisor at Khirbet Nisya, Israel (1993-1994) and excavation staff at Tel Miqne/Ekron, Israel (1984).

He conducts research and gives tours in Australia. John is a very engaging and knowledgeable speaker and will be speaking to us about his museums "Down Under" providing unique Aussie evidence the Bible is true.

Tim Unruh "Astronomy from a Biblical Perspective" June 27
Our guest speaker for this month is Tim Unruh, retired architect and amateur astronomer who built his own observatory with telescope on his property in Sheridan, CA. He is also an editor of "The Biblical Astronomer" and member of The Tychonian Society discussing various biblical topics and truths. On Thursday, June 27 at 7:00 p.m., he will be speaking on: Astronomy from a biblical perspective - including: Original creation, nature of creation, angels, solar system, entropy, starlight and the age of the universe, the status, shape & stability of the earth, geo-immobility, and geocentricity, exo-solar planets and the James E. Webb Solar Telescope.
